Innkeepers Cindy Madsen and Nathan Barnett are honored to be living their life-dream of running a Victorian bed and breakfast in Port Townsend. They bring to the Inn a combined forty years of experience in hospitality, service, food and wine. They join this background with a passion for history, an appreciation of fine architecture, and joy in sharing epicurean delights with fine people.
Our mission: To invite our guests into a dignified world of grace and tranquility, offering them the comforts of home in a magical setting full of natural beauty and historical interest. Stewardship of this wonderful old Inn is an honor and a privilege. We are proud to care for and share this 120 year old home with our guests throughout our tenure as its keepers.
Cindy studied enology at University of California at Davis and went on to produce sparkling wine in Sonoma county. From there she followed her love for the sea,
serving as chef aboard private yachts and as hotel manager for Lindblad Expeditions cruise lines. In recent years she has refined her culinary arts, specializing in catering for historical feasts.
Nathan spent his formative years studying literature while bartending, soldiering and traveling the country and world. In the late 1990’s he settled down to a life in Seattle where he pursued his fascination with history, music and the arts. As an instructor of historical fencing, entertainer, and musician, he has sought to share his love of history and the arts.
